Summary
ServicePins is a B2B field-service app used by service technicians invited by their employer. We collect only the data we need to run the app's core features — anchoring service pins to a location, attaching photos to jobs, and letting your employer verify the work got done.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We do not collect
- Contacts, calendar, or microphone audio.
- Health, biometric, or financial data.
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking signals.
How we use your data
- App functionality. Sign you in, render your assigned jobs, attach pins to a map, deliver in-app and push notifications, and sync queued work when you come back online.
- Account security. One-time SMS codes, device locking, audit logs.
- Customer support. Diagnose issues you report to support@9xlocal.com.
That's it. We do not profile you, score you, train AI models on your data, or use your data for marketing.
Who we share data with
- Your employer. They added you to the portal — they see your pins, photos, location stamps, and chat messages. This is the whole point of the app.
- Service providers we rely on — only for the technical task they do for us:
- MongoDB Atlas — encrypted database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and CDN.
- Brevo (Sendinblue) — sending SMS one-time codes and review-request messages.
- Apple — push notifications via APNs.
- Google — Maps tiles for the in-app map and (when enabled by your employer) Google Business Profile review delivery.
- Law enforcement — only if compelled by a valid legal request.
We never sell your data and we have no advertising partners.
Where your data lives
Data is stored on MongoDB Atlas (US region) and Vercel (US/global edge network). Transit is always over HTTPS.
How long we keep it
- Active account data — kept while your employer has you as an active technician.
- Service pins, photos, chat — kept while the parent business account is active, so your employer can reference historical work.
- One-time codes — expire after 5 minutes and are erased on use.
- Deleted accounts — when you tap "Delete Account" inside the app, your employee record, photos, and pins tied to your account are removed within 24 hours. Aggregate, non-identifying logs may persist.
Your rights
- Access. Email support@9xlocal.com to request a copy of your data.
- Correction. Update your name, phone, email, or role from the in-app Admin tab, or ask your employer.
- Deletion. Use "Delete Account" inside the app (Admin → Delete Account), or email us. We delete within 24 hours.
- Withdraw consent. Disable Location, Camera, Photos, Face ID, or Notifications in iOS Settings any time. The app continues to work with reduced functionality.
If you are in California, the EU, or the UK, you have additional rights under CCPA / GDPR / UK GDPR. Email us — we'll honor them within the statutory window.
Children
ServicePins is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email support@9xlocal.com and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
